Atrial Flutter Ablation

Right sided atrial flutter is the arrhythmia most amenable to cure with catheter ablation as it has

• The highest cure rate of 98%
• Shortest procedure time- about 20-30 minutes
• Minimal risk- less than 0.5% risk of needing a pacemaker as a result of the procedure, and less than 1% risk of vascular injury

It is currently recommended as first line treatment for atrial flutter
